Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or line with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the blondie layer: In a medium bowl, melt butter for one minute in the microwave or until melted; stir in brown sugar. Pour the butter and sugar into a large bowl and let cool to room temperature. Stir in the cranberries and chopped chocolate (batter will be thick).
3. Spread the blondie batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 18-21 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool completely on a wire rack.
4. Prepare the frosting: In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until combined. Gradually add half of the melted white chocolate; beat until blended. Frost brownies. Sprinkle with chopped cranberries. Drizzle with remaining melted white chocolate. Cover quinoa with a folded kitchen towel, then cover sieve with a lid (don't worry if lid doesn't fit tightly) and steam over medium heat until tender, fluffy, and dry, about 10 minutes. Remove pot from heat and remove lid. Let stand, still covered with towel, 5 minutes. *I didn't do all this, I just cooked the quinoa according to package directions*
<div class="instruction" style="padding-bottom: 0px; Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, brown sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. Reserve 1/4 cup for the topping. Use the remainder to create a crust by pressing it into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

2. And I'm fortunate enough to live in the mecca of fine Mexican cuisine (that'd be Arizona, not Mexico). One of my favorite places is just around the corner, and their salsa is just the absolute best. I could eat it with a spoon. But I'd hate to make the chips feel bad by leaving them out. We recently realized they do brunch on the weekend and I met this beautiful dish...

I think it's beautiful, anyway. It's an omelet stuffed with spinach and bacon and covered with some sort of cheesy goodness. It's heaven on a plate my friends.

I haven't been cooking too many interesting things lately, hence the lack of blogging. However, we just bought a juicer last week and we're having tons of fun with that. I saw a documentary called "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and was really inspired to get more fruits and veggies in my diet by juicing.

The guy in the movie did a complete juice fast (doctor supervised) for maybe 2 or 3 months and lost a ton of weight. I'm thinking upwards of 90, can't remember for sure. I don't think I could ever completely give up eating but I do think I can replace some of the processed fried meals I eat with juice now and then. Today I had a combo of apple, orange, spinach, carrot, beet, and green pepper! Watch the documentary if you get a chance, it's really interesting. It's on In a mixing bowl, beat 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar and butter until fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and beat until combined.

2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir to combine. Slowly add to mixing bowl, beating until combined, about 1 minute. Stir 1/2 cup finely crushed candy canes in by hand.

3. Cool.

4. While cookies bake, stir together remaining 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar with 2-3 T. of milk. Add just enough milk to form a thick glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies and top with remaining crushed candy canes immediately.
<div style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; Add sausage, breaking up into bite sized pieces, and brown for about 5 minutes. Add onions and cook until softened, about 6 minutes. Add garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute. Add tomato paste and stir well to incorporate. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the tomato paste turns a rusty brown color.

Add diced tomatoes, bay leaves, and chicken stock. color: #3d3329; font-family: 'Lucida Sans', 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Trebuchet MS', Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: left;">1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners. Set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a small bowl, add the sugar and lemon zest. Rub the lemon zest and sugar together with your fingers. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar and lemon zest mixture together until light and fluffy, about two minutes. Add the ricotta cheese and beat until smooth. Beat in the egg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.

3. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just blended. Using an ice cream scoop or large spoon, fill each muffin cup half way with batter. Add three blackberries to each muffin cup. Top the muffins with remaining batter so blackberries are covered. Generously sprinkle turbinado sugar over each muffin top.

4. Bake muffins for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are slightly golden brown. Let muffins cool for five minutes and serve.

I was super excited to learn a couple of weeks ago that I had won a giveaway at Coleen's Recipes. I was the recipient of this awesome giftpack from Yoplait, containing a neck pillow, lavender eye mask, a giant smoothie cup and a coupon to receive a free package of <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #555555; Stir in milk and egg until just combined. Fold in apple. Pour oil into skillet so that it is approximately 1 1/2 deep. Heat oil on high. (on my stove, high was too high, just above medium worked best for me.) Oil is ready when dough floats to top. Carefully add dough to oil in heaping teaspoons. Cook until brown, about 2 minutes, then flip. Cook another 1-2 minutes, until both sides are browned. Transfer briefly to paper towels to absorb excess oil, then transfer to cooling rack. Make glaze by stirring milk and powdered sugar together in a small bowl. Drizzle over apple fritters. Wait approximately 3 minutes for glaze to harden, then flip fritters and drizzle glaze over the other side. Some Chicken

Greetings to you all....this is my first post on my new blog. If you've stopped by, you may or may not know me from some other blog. I doubt this one will be much different, but I just felt like a new location, so here we are! I'm not really sure how this is going to work out, but new things are always fun. Usually? Well, here goes....

I tried a new Rachael Ray recipe a few days ago...I actually found 3 of her books at a thrift store for $2 each and brought them all home with me. I know she's not everyone's favorite, but she makes some nice stuff now and then.

She calls this one "Rummy Chicken" and I chose it because I had bought some rum, and used just a little and just couldn't find time to drink the rest ;)

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; turn the chicken to coat and combine. Let stand for 15 minutes.

Grill the chicken for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until the juices run clear.

It was good, no complaints here. But I can't say the rum added anything major. I ended up just baking it in the oven rather than grilling it since it was rather stinkin' hot outside.

So, I wish I had come up with something really amazing to post for the new blog, but I didn't....hopefully you'll come back anyway!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kitchenfruitcake.blogspot.com/2011/07/greetings-some-chicken.html' title='Greetings &
